This message is to address the requests for medical exemptions that have been received because of the provincial announcement that Ontario residents will be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to access certain public places as of September 22 and the implementation of vaccination policies by various workplaces.

We encourage you to get the flu shot every year. The vaccine helps protect your family and vulnerable people in our community. Influenza vaccination is helping to reduce the burden on the health care system during this pandemic time. Ottawa Public Health explains that the influenza vaccine will not protect you against COVID-19, but will help reduce the risk of catching the flu and COVID-19 at the same time, which could increase your risk of suffering from more serious symptoms.

Please note that some medical laboratories are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We strongly suggest that all our patients confirm their current opening hours before visiting in person.

Mandatory mask wearing
Mandatory mask wearing

Wearing a mask is now mandatory for all in-person visits to the clinic. Non-medical masks are another tool for protecting others, in addition to hand washing, social distancing and good respiratory hygiene.

If you already have a mask at home, please wear it before entering the clinic. If you do not have one, contact the reception kiosk at the entrance.
