In this module, we introduce the relaxation response (to be used during the day only, at this stage) and address attitudes and beliefs to counter stress. The relaxation response was devised in the 1960s, by Dr. Herbert Benson, to counter the habit of being in fight-flight mode.

Audio Relaxation Response - YouTube Audio Version: Here is a YouTube audio version of the relaxation response.
This is an exercise of almost twenty minutes of progressive passive muscle relaxation. The goal is to improve your ability to access the relaxation response and thereby break the cycle of stress.

Here you will find a short document on the benefits of the relaxation response.
